It’s funny. When the kids are younger, we can’t wait for them to leave the nest.
Today, my son, the youngest of the brood, turned 19. I guess we can’t really say he’s a kid any more.
We have had a heck of a ride with four kids. It’s more fun than a roller coaster!
My wife had a hard time accepting that he didn’t really want to spend time with us today, his birthday. I’m not surprised at all. He knows where home is and always will. It’s just painful cutting those apron strings.
Happy Birthday Son!
Dad
P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the great opportunities at work. I’m thankful for the great country we live in. I’m really thankful for such a wonderful son.
What are you thankful for today?
