I have to say I’m generally impressed with people the past few days.
I know I get cranky when I’m hot and there has been no respite in over a week!
Most people I have run into have been quite jovial about it all. Probably because there’s not much we can do about it so we might as well enjoy it. It’s the Canadian way!
If it’s not cold, it’s hot. We don’t usually have much in between. I wonder what this winter has in store for us?
A lady I work with had an experience yesterday with a young girl going into distress with the heat. People around her did nothing to help. My friend had to wave the conductor down on the train to get assistance. At times like this, we really need to be aware of the people around us and be prepared to help.
Tuesday, on my bus, a lady started having what appeared to be a heart attack as we neared the terminal. Luckily, she recognized the signs and communicated to me that she had a known heart condition and we were able to get her help immediately on arrival at the terminal. I hope she is ok.
Keep an eye and do what you can, it could be you!
May God bless you and keep you safe,
Barry
P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for air conditioning! I’m thankful to blessed with reasonably good health. I’m thankful my children are all safe.
What are you thankful for today?
