How many times have you experienced having a great plan and/or idea but didn’t make sure you had buy in from the team before going ahead?
In John C. Maxwell’s The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, he discusses The Law of Solid Ground. The first five laws have focused on gaining and establishing trust. This one is really about maintaining that trust through consistency. You have spent all that time building and could blow it all with one misstep. Trying to act on your own without including your team in the process of establishing the plan. Now it has become autocratic. I highly recommend reading The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. So often I hear, “I just don’t have time”. Do you realize that if you read just 10 pages a day of a good book, you would have ready approximately 15 books a year? Keep a book in the bathroom! People will usually leave you alone there. Make it a great day! Barry What are you thankful for today? |
