In the 1950’s, Earl Nightingale recorded “The World’s Strangest Secret”. He uses a story that is very similar to the parable of the mustard seed in Matthew:13 where it is described that the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds you will ever plant but it will grow into a large tree to produce an abundant harvest.
In this case, Nightingale describes the human mind as the fertile soil. If you plant good stuff, you will reap good stuff. Plant poison and it will grow just the same. Eventually the poison will overcome you.
Your mind doesn’t care what you plant. In fact, the poison may well grow better and faster. In the end, you will reap what you sow.
Will you plant healthy thoughts or poison? It’s up to you. Just decide.
