Wow!
I expected a Conservative majority but there is no way I would have predicted the size of the Liberal losses.
I’m not usually very public about politics but here is my theory:
The Canadian populace is tired of the bickering and lack of forward motion. When you keep doing the same thing expecting a different result…..
I don’t believe this is a shift to the left for Quebec as opposed to the people of Quebec saying we’re tired of having no voice. They gave their voice to the NDP and will be expecting results.
The next four years are likely to be very interesting politics. Buckle in, it’s going to be a heck of a ride!

What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful that we live in a democratic country where we can freely exercise our right to free speech and to vote our conscience. I”m thankful that there are public servants like Mr. Ignatieff, Mr. Layton, Mr. Duceppe and Mr. Harper who are willing to stand up for their beliefs. I’m thankful it’s over and this great country can now move forward!
