An acquaintance is leaving our office today and sent a farewell message to the group. In it he makes the observation that many are asking “What next?”.
He answered with this quote:
To borrow a quote from Mark Twain:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
This theme seems to be dominant throughout many self help books.
In Robin Sharma’s “The Leader Who Had No Title”, there is a scene where a man is digging what appears to be a grave when he reaches a tablet with 10 Human Regrets. He is being told to think forward to the end of his life and think about what his story is. (See my blog entry for April 15, 2011)
What will your story be?

P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful I woke up this morning and can change my story. I’m thankful there was food for breakfast. I’m thankful God gave us such a beautiful day today!
What are you thankful for today?
