CBC News posted an article yesterday about a doctor in BC being told to stop a non medical treatment he has been using to help wean drug users of their dependency on drugs.
I wonder how much this might have to do with the drug companies not then being able to sell high cost prescriptions for the same purpose?
When my son was fighting cancer, we were looking for any alternatives just like any others I’m sure would. We came across something called Phoenix Tears. Had my son had a belief and been willing, I would have ignored the law to try it.
There have been numerous articles over the years of the benefits of cannabis. I don’t personally condone the recreational use but I do believe there is merit. The problem is I don’t believe there is any interest in doing the research because it would cost the pharmaceutical companies billions of dollars in lost revenue.
Hence the term “Medical Mafia” that I have adopted from a friend of mine. They control the research and limit our possibilities.
It’s time the government took over medical research and the associated profit. Can you imagine our health care system if we controlled it from the ground up?
I’m just sayin…..

P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful that I was blessed with such a wonderful son even if only for a few years. I’m thankful for the ability to speak freely. I’m thankful for my faith in God.
What are you thankful for today?
