There was an interesting article in Toronto’s 24hr Newspaper today (November 22, 2011).
We have often said that it is so important to sit and eat as a family. It’s nice to be validated by a third party. Far too often, we think it’s ok to just leave something for the kids because we’re busy. I’m referring to the young adult type. Or we take finger foods on the run because none of us want to “waste” time. Over time, dinner loses it’s importance and one day you realize you never talk any more. Click the link above and read the article. This really explains why dinner with the family is so important. We have started doing this again with our adult son that is home again. He’s 19 and it’s still the best time of the day with him. Make it a great day! Barry P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the food on my table. I’m thankful my son will still spend time with us. I’m thankful God has blessed our family with a wonderful grand daughter. What are you thankful for today? |
Dinner is family time
