Interesting how the universe works.
Last night, I was having a fun conversation with friends about how much government should be involved in our lives and the economy.
This morning, I see an article in the Ottawa Citizen discussing much the same thing and making reference to being like the Soviet Union and how did that work out?!
There is much discussion these days about the world economy and how we need to protect our supply management here in Canada. It’s rather interesting that with all the noise about the Wheat Board out west, they actually seem to have increased their opportunities. Forward thinking people will give this time to prove itself.
In today’s market, our marketing boards can be a detriment to our international trade. We need to decide if we want to accept a limitation and just sell within Canada or do we want international opportunities.
This is so similar to what we do to ourselves on a personal basis. How many times do we not try something because we fear the outcome? We will only take a risk if we believe it can’t fail.
Remember that when we really, really want something, we usually get it. By the same token, when we really, really don’t want something, we get that too! What you believe becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. You just need to decide.
