There was an interesting sermon at church Sunday talking about sharing your faith. It’s like when someone gives you a box of chocolates. The reality is you are expected to share. People look at you funny if you try to keep them to yourself!
Interestingly enough, it’s the same with a lot of our businesses. I remember a consultant at a large financial services company I used to work for that told a story about a strategy to pay your house off in half the time. At the end of the story, one brother turns to the other and says “You knew about this and never told me?!” The consultant turned to the rest of us and said “Do you want that to be you one day? Do you want the people you know asking you how come you kept this secret to yourself and now they have missed the opportunity?”
On one hand we are chastised for approaching our friends and loved ones about our business and yet if you fast forward 10 years you could be chastised for NOT telling them!
So, I ask the question, would you rather they be mad you kept something from them that could have made a big difference in their lives or would you rather they be made because you offered them a treat and they passed?
The choice is yours.
It’s like the box of chocolates. You offer once and they can say yes or no. They will come back to you later if they change their minds but at least you don’t have to apologize for not offering!
I’m just sayin…..

P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful we have been open minded enough to see more than one opportunity in our lives. I’m thankful God gave me the ability to think for myself and not worry too much about what others might think. I’m thankful that my family and friends are wise enough not to judge what they know nothing about.
What are you thankful for today?
