Thank God for family.
My nephew passed away suddenly this past weekend. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly family rallies around.
Within hours of hearing, there were multiple families who traveled hundreds of kilometers to be with his parents and siblings. Never underestimate the strength of family ties and know you can always count on your family when it really matters.
There are times when it seems life is so busy that you neglect your family or feel they are neglecting you but the reality is they will always be there when you need them!
May God give that family the strength to face what is ahead of them and get through these challenging times. You never “get over” the loss of a loved one. You can only hope that you find the strength to hold them in that special place in your heart.
I’m guessing his niece has her very own guardian angel now!

P.S. What am I thankful for today?
I’m thankful we have such a strong family and could be there for them. I’m thankful my children had the strength to be with us. I’m thankful for the rain! Maybe it will cool things down or at least turn the grass green.
