We all have them and many of us are them; family and friends who drive us nuts with their newest business opportunity.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY
In today’s economy, we are all looking for a way to make some extra money. Some will do “work on the side” with a special skill. For example, my brother was doing minor home renovation work because he was pretty good at it. Dad sold artwork from Mexico as we were growing up. A friend opened a pizza franchise.
Some of us don’t have those particular skills, connections or financial resources. For those people, the best #opportunity is to become involved in direct sales or multi-level marketing (#MLM). You might also hear it referred to as #networkmarketing. Are you going to chastise them for doing something others aren’t willing to do? Take action!
FAMILY FAIRNESS
Who ever said there was anything fair about family?!
Do you practice fairness?
Next time you are approached by a family member, lend them open ears, minds and hearts. If you don’t like the offer, remind yourself that they trusted you and cared enough about you to put themselves out there. Remind them you love them and gently let them know you appreciate the offer but are not interested. Take the time to understand what their offer is and think about who actually might be interested. Who do you care enough about to connect them with a product or service they might want regardless of your own opinion.
If you were opening a local pub or some other establishment, you would be offended if your family said you were nuts and there was no way you would get involved in promoting that. Hmmm….
A message to family and friends, not just mine. (Low volume recording.)
Be kind. Be fair.
Make it a great day,
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for open minded people. I’m thankful for honesty. I’m thankful for people of integrity.
What are you thankful for today?
