My wife’s business partners are studying “How To Win Friends And Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. When I went to pick up that book, I came across “Walk the Walk, The #1 Rule For Real Leaders”.
There is a passage that couldn’t be a better example of How To Win Friends And Influence People. Nelson Mandela was just such a leader. He managed to win the trust of very influential people by starting at ground level and working his way up the chain. At each step, he took the time to learn something about the people and what “makes them tick” before ever attempting to lead them to a conclusion. In the end, he was instrumental in changing South Africa and as a result the world!
I believe everyone should read both of these books.
You should know that what lead us to this point is my wife’s MLM business. If you know anyone who could stand to gain a little self confidence, they should get involved in something they can believe in. This is an opportunity to grow your potential in every area of your life for far less than the cost of a conventional business or formal education.
I had forgotten how much I was starving for knowledge. If you read make it count! Did you realize that if you read 10-15 pages a day of a good book, you will read at least 10-15 books a year? If you read really good books, you can’t help but improve!
Have a great day,
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for people like Nelson Mandela. I’m thankful for the opportunities God has given me in this life. I’m thankful my wife found her business!
