Last night we went to a training session for our business that had a mixed crowd in the room. There were new people and veterans alike.
I found it interesting that the veterans heard one message while the newcomers heard a very different message. Both were correct. The difference is simply the filters that the message was viewed through.
We need to remember that we are always communicating with a mixed crowd and be cognizant of how the message may be received and make sure we clarify what message is for whom if there is a potential critical outcome.
Always remember that perception is reality.
What is your reality?!

P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful that even though I woke up later than I planned, I still made my bus on time! I’m thankful for my business partners and what they bring to my life. I’m thankful for the wonderful people that I work with in my job.
