We are so connected these days. I often wonder what that does to us.
When you think about a computer that is used all day, every day, those are the ones that seem to burn out the fastest. Even a computer needs a “reboot” once in a while.
I work in a large metropolitan city and every day, I see people on the street with their devices ignoring each other on the street. I don’t know how many times I have seen a pedestrian almost walk right into traffic without even raising their head until a motorist honks their horn. And the the pedestrian has the gall to get angry at the motorist because the pedestrian wasn’t looking and stepped out against a red light!
Motorists, watch out for the careless person with their heads down and headphones. Pedestrians, watch what you are doing before you cause someone to kill you!
Whatever happened to taking a coffee break to actually clear your head?
Leave your “crackberry” on your desk and talk to a real person. Maybe even literally stop and smell the roses!
Have a great day!
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today?
I’m thankful I don’t even carry a cell phone any more! I’m thankful for technology. I’m thankful for the fresh air when I get out for a coffee break!
What are you thankful for today?
