What happened? I woke up this morning and realized that 50 years had gone by in the blink of an eye!
I don’t know about you but I used to think that was a long time and “they” were old people.
All of a sudden a 40 year old woman is a “hottie” and 50 is just reaching their prime!
One thing I will say is that I have enjoyed every age that I have been. There is no time that I want to go back to and I’m looking forward to the next “age” in my life. Don’t waste time worrying about what you haven’t done or what might have been. There’s nothing you can do about that. The time is better spent writing the script for the rest of your life. Time is the one commodity you can’t buy more of, don’t waste it on what might have been.
I’m excited about being a grandfather, I have one wonderful granddaughter now and I’m looking forward to more (we don’t have to rush that!). We have recently become “empty nesters” and are rediscovering each other as a couple. You might even say just discovering each other because we started our life together with two children. My life is still so full of opportunity that I can’t imagine it being any different!
Enjoy your day and savour every minute of it!
