Someone made a comment to me one day that they couldn’t see how our fitness product complemented the other products we are promoting.
We often forget how important our health is and good fitness promotes good health. Your body can really affect your mind and your spirit. A couple of years ago, my father had a stroke; Mom and my son both passed away. In between Mom and my son passing, I ended up in the hospital with dangerously high blood sugar. (Thanks Mom!) My wife and a friend of mine had been concerned about me for some time and my friend insisted on checking my blood sugar level. It was 33.3. For those who don’t know what that means, a measurement between 4.0 and 7.0 is ideal. My friend phoned the next day and insisted I get to the hospital, he hadn’t wanted to concern my wife the night before. I believe they actually saved my life. When I got to the hospital, they were surprised that I walked in under my own steam. I spent the next 12 hours on IV and decided that day to change my behaviour. I changed my diet and started walking a half hour every lunch hour. Rain/snow or shine. Over the course of the next three months, I lost 30 pounds and could actually run more than half a block without getting winded. I managed to avoid needing insulin directly as a result of the diet and exercise. Until this happened, I had no idea how much of a haze I had been in. I feel so much better, my mind is far clearer and as a result it leads to a much happier soul. The reality is that your fitness can directly affect your health and all aspects of your life. Look after yourself so that you can look after business. If you don’t look after yourself, you won’t be any good to anybody else. Make it a great day, P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for friends and family who care enough to speak up. I’m thankful for the love of God. I’m thankful I have discovered better ways to eat. What are you thankful for today? |
