Sometimes we face a great tragedy in our lives and it just devastates us. We feel sorry for ourselves and question just how could God do this to us.
What we often miss is that although the tragedy is very real and very painful, it brought great opportunity.
Think about fires, floods or even wars. After the devastation there comes a great period of regeneration. The last remnants of the “old stuff” are torn down or removed and replaced with up to date, forward thinking stuff.
It can be the same for our personal lives. We experience a great loss that causes us to step back and rethink our situation. This is the opportunity to put changes into place. The fear of others being critical is lessened because they don’t expect us to carry on as before. There is a clean slate if you let there be.
So, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and make a new plan. This is your great opportunity!
I’m just saying…..

P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the wonderful new opportunities in my life. I’m thankful for a bright sunny day today! I’m thankful that we still have three wonderful children and a grand daughter to bring a little sunshine into our lives.
What are you thankful for today?
