My great aunt passed away yesterday, a year to the day that my mother left us.
Now I understand what my grandfather used to say. I remember him saying he read the obituaries every day to make sure he didn’t see his name there.
We’re quickly becoming the senior generation, I hope you’re ready!
Before long, we’ll be watching our friends go (and reading the obituaries to make sure our names aren’t there!).
Make sure you get the most out of every day.
P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful Aunt Kay lived a long life and left a great bunch of kids to carry on. I’m thankful we have such a supportive family. I’m thankful we had such great teachers in our parents.
What are you thankful for today?

Hey, kiddo: I am thankful that Dennis survived his quintuple bypass 2-1/2 years ago and still keeps his melanoma (10 years now) in check. We are blessed to be together and will continue to do so with good health but also………lots of love. Life is good. We do not need money or material things. We have each other…..Dennis, myself, Danny, Donna, Jen and Charlee plus everyone else (the frosting on the cake). Love you, Aunt Chris
I just this. Didn’t think you were watching!
I’m kinda glad he’s still around too. I’m proud to be a descendant of the Crooks family!
