A famous man once said “I have a dream….”
When we hear someone say that now, we often criticize them for being dreamers. Is that fair? Someone has a thought one day that leads to a dream and we try to kill it?
A thought is like a seed. It germinates over time and grows into a shoot, that becomes a plant, that feeds people and animals, that eventually feed the earth again. Thoughts can be dreams or nightmares. That really depends on your perspective. Often, one person’s dream is another’s nightmare.
Be careful what you plant. Negative thoughts will take you out. It’s like planting hemlock and expecting to smell the roses. You end up depressed because the poison choked and killed your dreams. Don’t let anyone sow those seeds of destruction in the fertile recesses of your mind. When they try, send them away to suffer in their own poisonous fields.
Positive thoughts become great dreams. As we saw historically, that dream can lead to developing a passion. From that passion comes goals. With those goals, you develop a plan. When you take action on the plan, you achieve results. It all starts with the dream.
We can’t control what others throw at us but we can control what we do with their stuff. If it’s rotten, just throw it in the garbage and move on. Don’t get into a food fight, it just gets messy!
Make it a great day,
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for faith. I’m thankful for Matthew:13. I’m thankful for fertile soil!
What are you thankful for today?
