Regeneration

What a blah day.

It’s raining, the leaves are falling and the temperature is dropping.

Believe it or not, these are all actually good things.  It’s God getting the earth ready for winter.  A time for rest and regeneration.  Don’t forget that after winter is spring, a time of new wonder and new beginnings followed by the full blown beauty and action of summer.

It’s kind of like life in general.  We wake up to challenges some days that seem so big.  We work our way through them without even realizing how much we are growing and we often forget to appreciate the beauty of our achievements when we get past these challenges.

We have to go through some of the rougher quiet times in order to build up the reserve of energy required to sustain us when the real action and the great times set in.

In the end, that means that today is really a beautiful day.  It gives me a reason to be even more excited about tomorrow!

Make it a great day,

Barry

P.S.  What am I thankful for today?  I’m thankful our office move was successful over the weekend.  I’m thankful my children all appear to be making their way in the world.  I’m thankful I was able to wake up this morning to see this rainy day that will lead to a brighter tomorrow (or maybe the next day)!

What are you thankful for today?
