I guess we finally have to pay the piper!
We have had such warm weather for the last couple of months I almost forgot this is Canada. We had a new international student arrive from India yesterday in the middle of the first real dump of snow this year. Welcome to Canada I said! This morning, the bus I was on had to stop numerous times because the brakes froze. That’s Canada eh! Isn’t this classic? We typically focus on the negative and yet it’s all perception. Yes, it’s really cold and there is a lot of snow in Barrie. The beauty of it is I just got my $5 season ski pass and the snow dump means I have a great opportunity to use it. We bought my grand daughter a snow racer for Christmas that she can ride on now (I guess I should assemble it!). Living in Canada, we have four seasons and each is beautiful in it’s own way. One thing we have is variety. I have been to Hawaii and really enjoyed heat in November but it’s really odd seeing Christmas decorations when it’s 80 degrees! It’s just not the same and I think it would become very boring. All in all, we live in an exciting country! Make it a great day, Barry P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful our driver got the bus safely to the city. I’m thankful my car started this morning! I’m thankful I’m here to see the cold. What are you thankful for today? |
So Cold!
