Part of the discussion at church yesterday was about seeking “Wise Counsel”.
The suggestion was made that we find half a dozen people who we consider brighter and/or more experienced than ourselves to turn to when facing a challenge. By asking the “Wise Counsel”, you will find a common consensus that will help you in making a decision. Such a simple concept and yet most of us don’t do it.
I would suggest going a step further and establishing “Wise Counsel” in your professional life as well. We can learn from our peers if we let ourselves. Just make sure you stay open and really listen.
My guess is that decisions will become much less daunting and will lead to overall success in any area of your life that you choose to establish “Wise Counsel”.
Have a great day!
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the rain that will bring back the green grass. I’m thankful for smarter people than me! I’m thankful for a wonderful wife (part of my wise counsel).
What are you thankful for today?
