I find that when travelling for business, finding a smartphone that works in both countries without breaking the bank can be quite a challenge. Roaming charges are ridiculous and keeping your US number alive can be difficult when you don’t travel often enough. In past, I have purchased a cheap pay as you go phone when I land in the US because it was cheaper than the roaming costs once I crossed the border. That’s improving but still not great. The problem is the phone number would die because I didn’t keep a plan alive with regular use. What is the solution? A Blu smartphone and Roam Mobility!
Vendor
I live in Barrie, Ontario and have been dealing with a local vendor for cell phones for a couple of years now. The reason I deal with Pat at Cellcycle.ca is that he is very knowledgeable when it comes to smartphones. He takes the time to understand your needs and will make a recommendation based on you, not whatever a particular service provider is pushing at that time. He can offer you used phones that are bound to a particular company or, best of all, he provides unlocked phones and none of them require a service contract that locks you in for an extended period of time.
Smartphones
You can purchase smartphones from Pat at Cellcycle.ca that meets your needs. Yesterday, I learned about Blu. These phones are Android based and GSM dual sim phones that allow you to have two numbers. Two service providers on one phone!
Are you part of a MLM business opportunity?
Imagine, a Canadian number and a US number. No taking your phone apart at the border and switching sim cards. No roaming charges. Pick up a dual sim phone and be ready any time you cross the boarder.
By the way, this applies to travellers who are global. My GVO and Pure Leverage friends may want to look at this!
No Contract Service
Whether you choose to use your existing #smartphone and switch sim cards or get a device like one of the Blu units, take a look at Roam Mobility. You only have to use your US number once a year to keep it active. For those of us that might only travel to the annual conference, it’s still worth it. For my US friends, you can call into Canada using your plan without extra charges.
Whatever service you choose, make sure you understand the terms and choose the one that suits your business and personal needs.
Visit Pat at cellcycle.ca to learn more about Blu and Roam Mobility! (No, they didn’t pay me for this, I like them that much.)
Make it a great day,
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for Pat and John at Cell Cycle. I’m thankful for opportunity. I’m thankful for you taking the time to read this far.
