Our beliefs affect our thoughts. Our thoughts affect our deeds. Our deeds determine our destiny.
It’s interesting that an Athiest is likely to make a statement that they don’t have a faith or belief. Yet, when you think about it, their Athiesm is a belief in and of itself.
Choosing not to believe in God is a belief.
Choosing to believe in Christ is a belief.
Choosing to believe in Allah is a belief!
The biggest mistake we make is not acknowledging that our own beliefs are the filter through which we receive all information and therefore affect our decisions. I’m certainly not suggesting that ANYONE give up their beliefs. I only suggest that we stop and make sure our “filter” is appropriate for the decision we are making and that we be open to hearing and learning from others. It’s ok to change your belief if that’s the right thing to do.
I believe that faith is what gets most of us through this life, whatever that faith is. The biggest problem is when we lose faith and ultimately faith in ourselves.
Keep the faith and be true to yourself,
Barry
P.S. What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the wonderful people at Connexus. I’m thankful for the time with my grand daughter and son today. I’m thankful that I can trust God will keep my wife safe and bring her home to me today.
What are you thankful for today?
