We have been attending services at Connexus in Barrie for a few months now. Denise’s friend introduced us and we have discovered many of our friends attending as well as having made some new friends in the process. If you’re tired of the “same old”, you should check it out.
The series that just ended is called Your Move. The general discussion is around making decisions. Especially potentially life changing challenges. The main point is that when facing challenging decisions, you need to ask yourself four questions:
1) Why am I doing this, really? Am I being completely honest with myself?
2) What story do I want to tell? Fast forward to the last day of your life and all of your challenges have become just a story. What do you want your story to look like?
3) Is there tension that needs my attention? You know when you get that nagging feeling that something just isn’t right? Let that tension get as big as it can and then face it down to make sure you are not missing anything. This feeds back into questions 1 and 2!
4) What would be most honouring to God?! For Christians, isn’t this life about what God would want? Not what YOU would want? If we constantly strive to honour God, that usually results in what we need if not what we actually want.
If we make it a point to be able to address all of these questions, can you see how life can be so much more fulfilling?
So, It’s Your Move!

P.S.
What am I thankful for today? I’m thankful for the opportunity to honour God. I’m thankful for what appears to be a sunny Sunday! I’m thankful that my grand daughter is excited to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa!
