I was never more disappointed when I found out that there wasn’t a LegalShield App available for the Blackberry. Thank God Blackberry comes through!!!!
LegalShield App
First, let me tell you why having that app on my Blackberry is so important.
With the LegalShield App, I have one button access to reach my legal services provider from anywhere at any time of day. Yes, in an emergency, I can reach a lawyer at 3am! I carry a membership card that when you are in a panic, good luck remembering which pocket or even if it’s with you. Then you have to find a light to see the numbers and make the call on the Blackberry you carry anyway.I hate Apple’s dominance in the market place. Secondly, virtually everyone I associate with uses Blackberry for the majority of their day and I don’t use anything else.
Thanks to Blackberry’s recent operating system 10 upgrade, I can now “tap that app”!
Caveat
You can’t download the app from Google Play directly. There are a couple of steps that take about 2 minutes if you follow the directions in the entry in Blackberry’s Community Forum. Click Here for directions.
I upgraded my Q10 to OS 10.3.1 and then following instructions in the link above, installed the Sachesi Firmware Extractor. Once that was open, I dropped Snap, a free Google Play client for Blackberry 10 into Sachesi and voila!
Final Catch
Once the installation is complete, you will have to enter your membership number, user name and password but won’t be able to click the submit button. Swipe your screen from the top down and you will see in the top left corner, “hide bar”. Click that and the bar at the bottom disappears, giving you access to the submit button. Thankfully you only need to do this once if you make sure that “remember me” is checked.
Now, my fellow Blackberry die hards, go “Tap That App”!
