My son and his daughter
There was a song years ago called Cats in The Cradle that has always had a profound effect on me.  Yesterday was proof of how important the little things are.

I was sitting on the couch in the living room as my grand daughter was outside picking up bugs for the kit she used to use with her father.  He passed away a couple of years ago and last year, she wouldn’t go near that kit.   She will be seven this year.

All of a sudden a little voice called out “Grandpa”.   I asked what she wanted and she said “Since my Dad can’t help me collect bugs, will you come out with me?”

Don’t ever underestimate how important the little things are.  They matter.

That coffee got cold.

Whatever is going on in your life, remember, Cats in The Cradle.

Make it a great day!

P.S.  What am I thankful for today?  I’m thankful for the gift my son left me.  I’m thankful for the time with my grand daughter.  I’m thankful for songs like Cats in The Cradle.
